I work full time and have a part time business.During the week I use a company vehicle. I use my personal vehicle almost exclusively for my part time business.Last year I had to do some repairs on it totaling about $800 can I use this as business expense.
What about dmv expenses.

You can either prorate the actual costs of operating the vehicle between personal and business use OR take the standard mileage rate of 48.5ยข per mile for all business use of the vehicle.

Did you keep a daily log of ALL the miles you drove on your personal car, splitting them out between business miles, commuting miles, and personal miles? If not, you can’t claim your business auto expenses. If you have the log, you can either claim 48.5 cents a mile for the business miles, or the proportion of actual expenses that represents the business miles.
