It varies depending on the surplier some are easier than others but at wholesale expect a minimum spend or to need to buy multiple items of the same type eg in 10′s.
Having a business ebay account could count as being a business if you are trading a few places in the uk will let you join if you have one.
By joining any whole sale as a business your details will probably be passed on to the tax man.
