Try ebay. I don’t know a lot about online busness ventures but I do know people are making money by being a power lister.

Google Ad-Words. Being a business owner myself, I use Google to find suppliers all of the time. I also use it to promote my business. You choose your daily spending limits and per click limits. So you can advertise for as low as $1.00 a day.

You could try a press release on Yahoo! news. I think it costs about $80 and after that you may be picked up by Google and MSN…these 3 search engines make up 96% of the market. Good luck. I am trying the same tactic with my soon-to-be online business.

A few free resources – check out the sources box for links:

    1) Create a blog pertaining to your field

    2) Use Yahoo! Local & Yahoo! Groups – Be sure to read the TOS for each one!

    3) Write articles pertaining to your field and/or expertise.

    4) Advertise on Craiglist

Also, consider signing up for an affiliate program. These programs enable you to advertise on other’s sites (your affiliates) and once a sale is made to you, your affiliates & the program are paid a commission.

I listed a few handy sites & articles relating to marketing, promotion & advertising. Here are some book titles that are relevant:

There are a number of free resources available to advertise your website and increase traffic. You can advertise on relevant free classifieds () , directories (dmoz) and relevant forums. Major search engines like Yahoo, Google , MSN search are a major source of visitors for most websites and you can submit your website to these search engines for free. You can also run contests offering prizes to regular visitors. I have found the following website useful
