A minority owned business is just like any other business, except that it is majority-owned by a minority. Like any other businesses, a consultant is not required but the business owner can opt to use one if deemed necessary. Many businesses have started and thrived well even without consultants.

There is a website from the U.S. Small Business Administration with plenty of info on how-to….check “sba.gov and in their links you may find volunteer consultants ready to assist you for free.
