I want to start a cleaning business in Florida. Do I just need to get an occupational license, or am I required to register it as a Limited Liability Company?
This is just a small house cleaning operation. Not a large company.

In California you have to be “Bonded” as well. Which means that you have to show proof that you have insurance to cover accidents and liability (Theft coverage)

Interestingly, there’s a fellow who has an excellent business start up kit for starting a cleaning business and he has had his cleaning company in Florida for years. You shoukd probably check up his website…I have a link on my Squidoo page, where you’ll find all sorts of tips and help I’ve compiled to help you start a cleaning business.
The kit also gives you contracts, estimate forms, letters, cleaning formulas and much, much more for under $39! It will save you alot of time and frustration. Start off right!
