When my husband owned his video store, he had a job working for a merchandising company at the same time. He did have employees and a partner for the video store so that helped.
Many a real estate investor manages rental properties while policing their rentals. I guess you could say that I had two businesses when I did that. When things were slow with our computer business, we worked on the rental houses.
One just must be organized for things to work out the best. Being an entrepreneur is tough. Many businesses fail due to disorganization and poor planning. Plan and take things slower than you think you want to go. Make sure your significant other is on board with your business ideas. It really sucks to get deep into something and then find it hurts your personal relationship. Also, make sure things will be alright with your employer.

King…Not sure about running a brick and mortar business on the side because those require your full and undivided attention. However, there are a lot of home based business opportunities. People everyday do both. So long as you leave your employee mindset at work because it won’t work with your own company.

It’s not only possible, I believe it’s necessary! The tax breaks alone make it more than worthwhile!
I have always had a home business on the side with every job I had because there is no other way to create residual income and build your net worth. The business I am currently doing gave me the freedom to quit my job, and the time and money I need for other investments. I couldn’t have done it any other way!

yes! sell cell phones. use google adword to get ad’s out there. 1000 plus visitors a month! free business! dont worry bout licenses or none of that. if you make over 600 they send you a 1099 and you file then! easy
