A store such as an ice cream shop, can have racks with cards for people to browse while waiting in line. They could offer racks with stationary, small gifts. A nail salon can offer clothing and assessories for its clients to brose.
A coffee shop can sell on consignment local artists works.
A business can merge with another, like some fast food restaurants do by sharing space and doubling the people coming in.
By bringing in someone else to provide items, the only real cost to the company would be the legal paperwork to assign fault for stolen or damaged items.

I think you mean diversity in the workforce? Our company has a few specific tactics. We have made connections with student groups at nearby universities that are in our specific industry and which encourage membership by various ethnic groups. We have an internship program and make a point of recruiting interns from these student groups. There are also professional organizations for those who are already in the workforce, which bring together industry professionals of different ethnic groups. When we have an opening we contact those professional groups to seek applicants. We also have programs internally to promote awareness of diversity as more than an ethnic issue – we want our employees to see diversity as inclusive of different religions, different genders, even different skills and abilities. So by intentionally seeking out diverse candidates for open positions, and by educating employees within the company about diversity, we keep it as a focus throughout the company.
